Love and compassion, sorrow and strife
An uneven rhythm, this opus called life
Fate she is fickle, one day youโre stuck
And the next you may have a stroke of good luck
Sometimes youโll be sad, when we lose those we love
We evaluate life and the frailty thereof
Often the small things make living worthwhile
The laugh of a baby, a hug or a smile
Yesterdayโs gone, tomorrowโs a bet
The heart canโt survive that is torn by regret
So follow your dreams, learn from mistakes
And always think twice on decisions you make

Wow impressive
Thank you!
Couldn’t have worded it more perfectly. Truly amazing!
Thank you so much!
I write poetry and blog about life, so I suppose “Living” is a perfect summary! I hope to see you there ๐
This is mystifying. So beautiful.
Oops… I meant “mystifyingly beautiful”.
I guess even writers make mistakes. ๐
Hi Autumn! Thanks so much for reading, and for your comment! I dare say we writers make the most mistakes of anyone ๐
It’s the greatest feeling knowing when someone takes something away from your work. I hope you’ll come visit me and see more!
It truly is. I hope to read more of your work!
Thank you for following me Autumn! Yay!
Love this……the unpredictability of life makes it more exciting…..ups, downs, and surprises are the potpourri of life. Great poem!

Thank you Pam!
‘… the potpourri of life.’ Good line!
It’s hard not to have regrets as we go through life, but they don’t serve a purpose- so I try to make the regretted experience serve instead.
Thanks for reading ๐
