On Days You Do Not Feel Strong [a poem]
When strength slips softly from your graspβ
not with anguish, but with quiet,
and the morningβs light, once golden,
arrives as a burden too delicate to bearβ
let mercy meet you where you are.
When strength slips softly from your graspβ
not with anguish, but with quiet,
and the morningβs light, once golden,
arrives as a burden too delicate to bearβ
let mercy meet you where you are.
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the idea of imperfection and how it plays such a profound role in our lives. At Sweet Bee Artisan Boards, Shawn and I have found ourselves drawn to rustic lumberβwood that many would consider flawed or imperfect. But as weβve worked with these boards, Iβve come to see them as a powerful analogy for our own journeys, both as individuals and as partners.

Life has ups and is a journey.
Life has downs and challenges us.
And with that, it is how we weather the storm
that allows us to come through strong as a rock.
Experiences that make us resilient,
builds character, gives us wisdom.
And we continue;
as life has ups
and life has downs.

Lover is the sun at night
Held only in your sleep
Secret other lost to sight
But in your heart so deep.
Sunlight dances in a dream
Spotted steps upon a stage
A kiss as hot as loverβs steam
Locked inside your little cage.
